  2. Anyone for a Brown Palin ticket?

I heard a Tea Partyer gush last night over the possibility. They have our futures all mapped out for us, don't they?

Even if sexist I'm glad Brown would be at the head of the ticket since he has more brains than Palin. Which isn't saying much.

Do these Massachusettsians know who they elected? Do they care? Or were they sending a "message" to Washington?

Never mind there were more than two million voters yesterday. Which message out of all that will actually arrive? How will that all important message be taken and received?

    The voters have spoken!

Rather than send a message why not just vote for the best candidate? For after all what is accomplished by "throwing the bums out" if their replacements are even worse?

What kind of message is that? That the voter doesn't understand what he is doing when he stands in his voting booth?

Throw the bums out! Sure. But do they have to be replaced with worse bums to get the message across?

So the answer is to vote in a self-proclaimed "independent" whose opinions echo the most current Republican boilerplate? The latest idol of the Tea Partyers?

You may have seen or heard on the news that Coakley was on vacation in the Bahamas when Brown defended water boarding. Thus that issue never became an issue in the campaign. Nor did any of his other Cheneyesque opinions.

Of course, as an "independent," who isn't part of any "establishment," Brown only voted more than 90% of the time with the state Senate Republicans.

Of course, backing water boarding and parroting other rightwing Republican talking points only demonstrate what a fresh, new wind he will bring to Washington. Time for a change, guys!
