ReplyDeleteWell, for whatever it's worth, my theory is that FOX makes it to number once because fiction is more alluring than fact. People like a good scary yarn. (Ie, the liberal socialist Communist Islamisist conspiracy is after you. And your unborn children. And we're all going to die.) And, like all good thespians, they know how to put on a good show. They're simply more entertaining (if you're sick and perverted) than the blonds dishing out info-tainment over on CNN.
Any rational person knows Glenn Beck is a madman. But isn't he number one in the TV ratings? Because he presents an outlandish reality no banal real reality can compete with. Fiction triumphs over fact!
