But Mr. President...

"But on this day, we are reminded that at our best, we do not give in to this temptation," Obama said. .... We do not allow ourselves to be defined by fear, but by the hopes we have for our families, for our nation, and for a brighter future."

But Mr. President...from where I'm sitting the Democrats, including yourself, have allowed themselves to be defined by fear. You talk of hope a great deal, Mr. President, but I'm afraid that when it comes right down to it you're afraid to sign your name to anything anyone might possibly criticise you for, even the most bigoted people imaginable.

So don't talk to me about resisting fear, m'kay?
