'Annie' comic strip ending after 85 years
The iconic redheaded orphan Annie is ending her time on newspaper comics pages after 85 years.
Tribune Media Services announced Thursday that it will cease syndication of the "Annie" strip on June 13.

There are dozens of comics I miss more than I will this one. Jiggs 'n Maggie, There Oughta Be A Law, Dick Tracy, Pogo, Flash Gordon, Mark Trail, L'il Abner, on and on. Little Orphan Annie was really weird and I guess you had to live through the Depression to get into it. Punjab, Daddy Warbucks, and eyes but no pupils or anything. What was all that?
