When in Rome...

Part of the series's appeal is their well written dialogues, rich characters, and subtlety in their interactions...

Or so I have been told.

Sometimes, viewers almost forget to lie...

No that there is anything wrong with that, of course.

But, if it isn't too bold of me to ask...

Why not just go straight to the real thing, then?

"Well written dialogues, rich characters, and subtlety in their interactions" notwithstanding, of course.

  1. ( ^_^)In Mexico, they call them telenovelas.

    — same dynamic, but the more...er... contemporaneous setting of the Narco Novelas (the Game of Thrones of the Tudors and Borgia of the Drug Cartel) makes them more relevant to the culture. It's not strictly a south of the border phenomenon, though; Hialeah (Florida-based Telemundo, a division of NBC Universal) has been leading the trend with instant hits such as El Cartel de los Sapos, El Cartel 2: La Guerra Total, and La Diosa Coronada.
