Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital ingredient in beer.
A denizen of the Wulfshead in a former location was humorist and booze connoisseur Robert Benchley. Approached one evening by a well-intentioned dowager who advised,
